German students are exempted from tuition fees in France and Spain respectively (otherwise up to circa. € 6000 a year). Students abroad receive a mobility grant from the ERASMUS-Programme of the European Union of roughly €250- 300 per month (this is also for students receiving BAföG).

On top of this, all students in France receive circa €120 per month from the French government for accommodation, if they rent a room privately. Moreover, the BFHZ in Munich can support German students studying at the EM Strasbourg.
